I have never painted before. What do I need to know?
You don't need any previous art knowledge - just come ready to try and ready to have fun!
What should I wear? Do I need to bring anything?
We will provide smocks, but you should wear paint-friendly clothes (just in case). You may want to bring some cash to buy something to drink. Burritt on the Mountain will have beverages available for sale.
What kinds of drinks are available?
Burritt on the Mountain will have bottled water, a selection of soft drinks, beer, and various wines available for a reasonable price - so you can save that special bottle at home for another occasion.
What if I can't make it to class?
If you contact us at least 24 hours prior to class, we will either refund your money or give you a credit for a future class. We're sorry, but we are unable to provide refunds for "no shows" or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. We have already purchased supplies and arranged for staff to work the class.
Where are the classes held?
We teach our classes at Burritt on the Mountain at 3101 Burritt Drive, Huntsville, AL 35801. It is just off of Monte Sano Boulevard, only five minutes away from the medical district. Click the Directions link for further directions and a map.
How much does each class cost?
Classes cost $35 unless otherwise noted. Check the Promotions link for specials.
When is class held?
Days and dates for classes are noted on the Upcoming Classes link. Classes start at 6:30 and usually last about two and a half hours. Plan on arriving around 6:15. You can grab a snack and come a little earlier if you want to enjoy a picnic supper on Burritt's green space overlooking the city.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept PayPal payments through our website or you may choose to pay with cash or check when you arrive for class. Burritt Museum currently only accepts cash for any beverage purchases.
