MARY
GOVER
holds both a BFA in painting and a BA in art history
from Birmingham-Southern. She completed her graduate
course work in art history at the University of
Alabama. Being unable to resist the lure of the
classroom (or unwilling to sit home and pick lint off
of her refrigerator in the evenings), she has also
recently completed the Interior Design program at
UAH.
After several years as an art conservator working with labs in Washington D.C. and Birmingham, restoring works for museums, auction houses, and private clients, Mary returned to Huntsville. Tempted by a totally different set of challenges, Mary accepted a request to develop and teach an art program focusing on art history, design theory and independent process for children at the preschool level. That class has been so much fun, that when this opportunity came along…
